Hello and welcome to our Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program webpage. I am excited to have you join us. My name is Fres Schindler, and I am the Director of the SUI MRI Program. It is my job to help all our students become skilled MRI technologists.
Our program is known for providing comprehensive, hands-on training that prepares students for success in the continually changing world of MRI. The student receives six hundred seventy five (675) hours of didactic training and one thousand (1000) hours of clinical education allowing them to apply the lecture topics to practical use. The curriculum provides students with the technical, clinical, and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in this field. Upon completion of the program, an Associate’s in Applied Science is awarded. Normal completion time for this program is 67 weeks excluding any holiday and vacation times.
The mission of the MRI Technologist program at Sacramento Ultrasound Institute is to provide high-quality education and training to aspiring MRI technologists. The program aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge, technical skills, and clinical experience required to excel in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Clinical training is an integral part of the MRI Technologist program. Students will gain hands-on experience in real-world clinical settings under the guidance of experienced professionals. Upon successful completion of the MRI Technologist program, graduates become eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification Exam for MRI.
