The student receives six hundred seventy five (675) hours of didactic training and one thousand (1000) hours of clinical education allowing them to apply the lecture topics to practical use. The curriculum provides students with the technical, clinical, and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in this field. Upon completion of the program, an Associate’s in Applied Science is awarded. Normal completion time for this program is 65.5 weeks excluding any holiday and vacation times. The mission of the MRI Technologist program is to provide well trained and knowledgeable, entry-level MRI technologists to meet the needs of the medical community.

According to 2015 U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data, the median salary for MRI Technologists in California is $81,220. And, there is a growing demand for this profession. Students can complete the program in only 18 months and start a career in the growing field of Diagnostic Medical Health upon completion of their externship. Best part? Students enrolled into the AAS in MRI Technology are eligible to sit for the ARRT exam after graduation.
